VisualML's use of XML as the underlying structure for content enables multiple websites to monetize content in different ways.  This page describes the tools and illustrates some current deployments.  As we work with Drupal, all of the modules in its stratosphere are available for customizing the solution to match a publishers specific needs.  Leveraging this open-source tool set enables the publisher to experiment with new monetizing ideas with select content to find the best return on investment for web marketing.  The tools included in a standard VisualML monetizing website include:

VisualML provides a base theme that is readily configurable and customizable for colors functionality, etc.  The Home Page of our base theme is illustrated in the image below:

The home page basic theme illustrates the following functions from top-to-bottom and left-to-right:

  • Login, Personal Page Access, User Picture and Name (when logged in), Secondary Navigation
  • Logo Bar (image)

  • User Feedback/Get Satisfaction button
  • Home Page Rotational Focus Block
  • 3 Home Page Guidance Buttons (typically one of these is the FAQ)
  • Most Viewed Block
  • 3-Tab Block (default containing What's New, Conferences and Career Tool Blocks)
